Table tennis in Canterbury has chalked up nearly 75 years since the local association was formed - and two men have been around for most of that history.

The Canterbury association was formed in April 1937, and 86-year-old Trevor Flint, who recently received a Sir Richard Hadlee Sport Canterbury award for lifetime service to his sport, played in the first competitions as a 12-year-old.
