SINGAPORE - Kerry Tan, 16, and Cheryl Tang, 14, have little memory of the last Women's World Cup held here in 2002. But the duo are aiming to have a tournament to remember, when the US$150,000 (S$189,700) Volkswagen 2011 Women's World Cup returns to the Toa Payoh Sports Hall from Friday to Sunday. Both are part of the 60-strong student volunteer group that will take up roles in ushering, technical duties, officiating, scoring, food and beverage as well as ticketing during the three-day event. |
