British table tennis champions Paul Drinkhall and Kelly Sibley gave their London 2012 Olympic hopes a lift by retaining their national titles this weekend.

Drinkhall beat current English number one Liam Pitchford 4-1 (7-11, 11-4, 11-6, 11-3, 11-3) to clinch the title for the fourth time, while Sibley won her third crown to round off a hugely successful weekend at Pond's Forge in Sheffield, as she was also a winner in the women's and mixed doubles.

Like Drinkhall, Sibley beat the national number one, Joanna Parker 4-1 (11-6, 3-11, 12-10, 11-9, 11-5), having earlier played alongside her to claim her third women's doubles title with a 3-1 win over Lauren Spink and Emily Bates.
