The overseas players dominated the junior grades during the 2011 Frincos Fiji Open Table Tennis Championship in Nadi yesterday.

Australian Olav Dahl starred in the boys division. The 13 year old won the Under-13, U15 and U18 singles titles.

In the doubles he bagged the U15 and U18 divisions. In the U15 he paired up with Suva's Vincent Wu to win the final.

Earlier this year Olav was the youngest participant in the Queensland Senior Table Tennis Championships held in Townsville. He is the son of former Fiji table tennis coach Terje Dahl.

Suva's Young Jun Park partnered with New Caledonia's Diego Monteiro to win the boys U13 doubles.

New Caledonian Lea Lai Van dominated the girls division. She took out the girls U13, U15 and U18 titles. In the doubles she won the U15 and U18 grades. Fiji Table Tennis Association president Anthony Ho said the tournament was the first for Nadi in over 40 years.
